Cement
Groupe CIF has developed cutting-edge expertise in the definition and supply of complete control units through its know-how of the production of the gears, hoops, rollers and reducers that equip kilns and dryers in the cement industry.
Cement : Horizontal mills
The ball mill is a machine used for grinding raw mix and clinker. Groupe CIF offers mechanical power transmission control units for horizontal mills:
- Side gate: Groupe CIF offers a range of conventional control units (girth gears, pinions, bearings, gearboxes, drive units) and its Millrex® range of compact control units.
- Centre gate: Groupe CIF offers its Ersun® range of planetary gearboxes or its Jumborex® range of split torque gearboxes, as well as its Flexident® and Flexacier® flexible gear couplings, and inching drives for powers up to 8,000 kW.
Cement : Vertical mills
Vertical milling is an alternative to conventional ball mills.
Groupe CIF offers its Rollerex® range of cylindrical-tapered and planetary gearboxes up to 3,500 kW. Groupe CIF conducts studies and makes the necessary adaptations to replace any existing equipment, ensuring interchangeability.
Furnace
The raw mix (fine cement powder produced by grinding) then enters a horizontal rotary calcination furnace.
Groupe CIF offers mechanical power transmission control units for these kilns:
- With a traditional drive comprising the girth gear, the pinion and its bearings, the main gearbox up to 2,000 kW and its couplings, as well as the inching drive.
- With a KGD® drive designed on the CMD Bogiflex® model; it is a floating, self-aligning system, which eliminates all ferrule movements or deformations that are inherent in this application.
