Preparation of ores in steel industry
Groupe CIF works on the whole upstream process, from ore preparation to the blast furnace. It provides complete transmission solutions to drive the machines at the heart of the process, such as:
- Rotating tubes : mills (coal, iron ore, lime, etc.), kilns, dryers, drums, mixers. Complete control units with helical gears from our ERmaster® range.
- Sinter machines : sprocket wheel drive, sinter breaker drive – Bogiflex®, Haflex® or Ersun® planetary gear reducer
- Torpedo cars : ladle tilting using our Bogiflex® reducer
Manufacture of cast steel
Groupe CIF has developed proven specific solutions for the tilting of converters (LD, AOD, etc.). We offer: large gear sets, Haflex® and Bogiflex® gear reducers and Ersun® planetary reducers.
For the continuous casting process, our Durand® worm gear reducers, our gear couplings (Flexident Z® steel range) and our ALC Bearings® white metal bearings are perfectly adapted to harsh working conditions. We manufacture liners, furnace bell hardfacing and many other strategic parts used to manufacture steel or cast iron.
Hot rolling
Groupe CIF has developed proven specific solutions for the tilting of converters (LD, AOD, etc.). We offer: large gear sets, Haflex® and Bogiflex® gear reducers and Ersun® planetary reducers.
